Tremedous educational opportunity, where excellence was the only way to stay. Was a senior when I buried my Dad - the last human body I ever worked on..... Workplace In School- Golden Horseshoe Drive In -- theater projectionist eventually running both screens at the drive in. LATE night work, stubborness, independent streak and stupidity don't work well for teenagers.. Left home as a Sophomore, lived on my own while going to Monterey.. Also worked at Furr's, learning Meat Cutting, Stocking, Checking. good work experience for the future. In College - Meat Cutter @ Farm Pac (Furr's), then moved to Dallas for College, worked at Safeway, and learned the wholesale meat business. 1966-1970 went into the meat business for myself. Owned STEAKMAKER'S Meats, expanded to 2 stores in '68, sold it, Dec.'70. 1970-1980 Insurance Sales.. Started with John Hancock, went to Combined as sales manager, left them and became a Farmers Insurance Agent. 1980-1995 Pella, Anderson, Bilt Best Wood Window sales. Started with Pella, and opened my own Window Company 1984 - Weather-Pruf Window Systems... went broke in my own shop, 1990, went back to Pella. 1995-Present.. Stock Trader.. Dove into the market and learned how HARD it is to make a living in Stocks.. still at it in 2005.. Wiser and a little better off..
